Amon-Ra St. Brown Stats: Rising Star on the Detroit Lions’ Horizon
Lions Wide Receiver is Improving
Amon-Ra St. Brown stats are improving as the Detroit Lions wide receiver comes off one of his more impressive games.
He was a standout receiver against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which could spark more success for the 23-year-old.
Due for More Targets
Based on his most recent game against the Buccaneers, St. Brown is likely to get targeted more by quarterback Jared Goff.
The 2021 Round Four pick by Detroit had 124 receiving yards from 12 receptions, which is 10.3 yards per catch.
That is slightly worse than his career average of 10.8, but he was due for a breakout game, and it finally happened.
He is helping the Lions win games, and NFL picks against the spread also have him to thank. Due to his recent success, he believes there is more to come.
“To start 5-1 is huge, but for us, we take it one week at a time. We’re going to celebrate this win, but as soon as this next week approaches, we’re on to the next game, on to Baltimore,” St. Brown said.
“We put so much focus into each week and so much preparation. To come out with a victory feels really good. But we know we have bigger goals ahead of us. We want to keep doing what we’re doing and we want to get to the playoffs.”
Touchdowns Starting to Flow
Despite being a go-to receiver, he doesn’t score many touchdowns.
Amon-Ra St. Brown stats have him scoring just three touchdowns so far, but Goff has much to do with that.
Goff often looks in the middle of the field, so St. Brown might need to call his number to get in the action in the red zone.
However, with two touchdowns coming in the last two games against Tampa Bay and Green Bay, he’s starting to get in the action more, which should help his NFL MVP odds, but he still little chance of being in the hunt.
Given his current numbers, he’s projected to have nine touchdowns. The remainder of the NFL football schedule should help his cause, and he could score double-digit touchdowns for the Lions.
Expectations are Rising
With his name starting to float around as one of the premium young wide receivers, expect to see higher expectations placed on St. Brown.
Goff’s stock is also rising, and he wants quality targets to throw to, and St. Brown is doing what he needs to do.
Amon-Ra St. Brown’s stats are impressive, and he’s making a fool of his 112th pick in the 2021 NFL draft. At this rate, he’s looking like a top-20 pick, so he was an excellent find for the Lions.
The former USC receiver only has room for improvement, which should excite NFL and Lions fans in 2023.
