Best NFL Teaser Bets For Week 7: Home Cooking and Magic Numbers
Tease Hosts in Three Matchups With AFC North Teams

The Magic Number is “3.5” For Week 7
We went two for three with our home-themed teasers last week. And we’re going back home, regardless of favorites or underdogs. Home turf advantage is real in the NFL, even if the stats don’t back it up currently: only 46.5% of home teams have covered the spread (40-46-4). But our best NFL teaser bets for Week 7 take three hosts with significant edges. And we only have to tease a field goal by decimal.
Detroit Lions vs Baltimore Ravens (-3)
Day/Time:
Records: Lions (5-1), Ravens (4-2)
Location: M&T Bank Stadium, Baltimore, MD
Streaming: FOX
The Lions have been on the tear lately, having gone 7-1 in their last eight games both on the moneyline and the NFL spread. But the Ravens are the kryptonite to this team. For one, Detroit will be down to their fourth-string running back. If this team can’t run the ball, it will be predictable and fall prey to Baltimore’s vicious passing defense.
The Ravens give up the second-fewest yards and the fewest touchdowns by air. They’ve limited opposing quarterbacks to a league-low 4.0 net yards per passing attempt. On top of that, the Ravens are 5-1 in their last six NFL games against the NFC North. They love to play against this division. Baltimore will neutralize the Lions’ offense and win another ugly game. Tease Ravens -3 (Ev)
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Los Angeles Rams (-3)
Day/Time:
Records: Steelers (3-2), Rams (3-3)
Location: SoFi Stadium, Inglewood, CA
Streaming: FOX
Another AFC North team constitutes part of our best NFL teaser bets for Week 7. But we’re fading the Steelers against the Rams. Pittsburgh is a terrible team, and it’s fluky that it is 3-2 on the NFL standings despite being outgained every game. The Steelers have been outgained by an average of 121.2 yards. Now, they visit the Rams on their third week of hosting.
Teams on their third straight home game are 61-45 (57.5%). The Rams are also 5-1 against the spread (ATS) in their last six home games. Star receiver Cooper Kupp is also back for the Rams, and that is a boon for the passing game, which is sixth in yards (1,553). The Rams are also in the top eight regarding scoring efficiency with their drives. And their defense is 11th in scoring (19.5). Los Angeles should win. Tease Rams -2.5 (-145)
Cleveland Browns (-3) vs Indianapolis Colts
Day/Time:
Records: Browns (3-2), Colts (3-3)
Location: Lucas Oil Stadium, Indianapolis, IN
Streaming: CBS
We’re also fading the Browns to make it an AFC North trifecta. This could be the best NFL teaser bet for Week 7, as Cleveland is in for a letdown following an upset over San Francisco. Nineteen of the last 20 NFL teams to face San Francisco lose their next game on the NFL season schedule. It’s a combination of an adrenaline dump and the Browns getting battered.
The Colts lost to the Jaguars last week. But they arguably outplayed them and just could not protect the ball (four turnovers!) Gardner Minshew is unlikely to throw three picks again, and the team can lean into the power running game with Zack Moss and Jonathan Taylor. The Browns have one of the best defenses, even against the run.
But Indianapolis could just take it to the potentially worn-down Browns. Deshaun Watson is still not 100%, and it will likely be P.J. Walker, who went 18-of-34 with a 24.1 QBR last week. The Browns are also just 2-6 ATS as a road favorite since 2020. The Colts could pull off this upset and, at the least, be worth teasing. Tease Colts +3.5 (-135)
