UFC 294 Props and Odds: Volk and Makhachev to Battle It Out

Three of the Best Props for the PPV Card

There is plenty to get excited about for fight fans this Saturday, and we have our best UFC 294 props and odds.

UFC betting odds are available for every fight on the card, including the main event between Islam Makhavchev and Alexander Volkanovski.

The Rematch Repeats

Just like they did earlier this year, Makhavchev and Volkanovski could go the distance.

Both UFC fighters are as tough as it gets, and although they are capable of winning by knockout or submission, it’s likely to happen.

Makhachev is the -250 favorite to win outright, but he’s a value +160 to win by decision, which is excellent shopping.

We think he wins the fight, and we’re confident about that result. However, Volkanovski is one of the hardest fighters to finish, as evident with his record.

His UFC schedule has been packed with decision outcomes, so we don’t see this one going different.

It’s easily the best value for the main event.

Chimaev to Demolish Usman

We give Kamaru Usman plenty of props, for lack of a betting term. He takes this fight on short notice, and he’s a former champion.

However, we think his time has come to an end, and that end is Khamzat Chimaev. The seemingly indestructible 12-0 fighter should be looking to end the fight, and we’re backing him to do so.

There is good value with UFC 294 props and odds, and we’re going a little safer with Chimaev to win by KO, TKO, DQ or submission. It pays -135 at the sportsbook, and it’s worth backing.

There is more chance of a finish than the fight going the distance, and Usman doesn’t seem like his usual self.

Chimaev had some strong words about why Usman took the fight after Paulo Costa pulled out.

“The guy comes just to make money,” Chimaev said. “It’s a lot of money put on that. I think he gets a lot of good money when somebody fights me. It’s different-level money. That’s why he’s here. Of course, he comes to win, everyone comes to a fight to win, but he already has an excuse and he’s getting paid, so I think that’s why he comes.”

Include the -135 in your UFC selections. The UFC events have a lot of good fights, but this one promises to deliver in Abu Dhabi.

Ankalaev in Round 1

There is plenty of hype around Magomed Ankalaev and with good reason.

Since joining the UFC, he has looked excellent, and although Johnny Walker is a fine fighter, they are on different levels.

We think Ankalaev comes out of the gates quickly and looks for an early Round 1. UFC 294 props and odds agree, as it’s the +250 favorite.

The odds are good enough to take, and although he has only five minutes to get the job done, if he gets the fight to the ground, Walker could be in a world of pain.

Ankalaev is also a +125 chance to win by knockout, which is also a solid value bet.
