UFC 294 Headlined by Volkanovski vs Makhachev Odds

The Main Card is Stacked!

We can’t wait for UFC 294 at Etihad Arena, and Volkanovski vs Makhachev odds are where most of the action has been.

Also featuring on the list of UFC events is Kamaru Usman vs Khamzat Chimaev, and Magomed Ankalaev vs Johnny Walker.

The UFC divisions could get a shakeup at UFC 294, and we’re loving the odds available.

Volkanovski vs Makhachev

Day/Time: Streaming: ESPN+
Location: Etihad Arena

Makhachev Faces Tough Test

Alexander Volkanovski goes up in weight again, hoping to become a two-division champion.

The Australian is 26-2, but the last time he fought a lightweight, he put up a good fight but ultimately lost.

Makhachev isn’t someone to be messed with, especially with Volkanovski taking this fight on short notice. Credit goes to the Aussie for doing so, and he never turns down a challenge.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

“It’s going to be an exciting one,” Volkanovski said. “Obviously, I want to go out there and hurt him. We’ll try to make sure it doesn’t go five rounds. I want to finish it early. I don’t want to test his gas tank. Don’t get me wrong, I think I can do it, but let’s not try and test it. Let’s just finish it nice and early.”

Makhachev is 24-1 following a win against Volkanovski in February, and everyone loves a rematch.

Our only worry for Makhachev is that he trained for Oliveira, so the -240 favorite with Volkanovski vs Makhachev odds needs to change his tactics.

UFC 294 Fight Night could end with a Fight of the Year contender, and we’re picking Makhachev to repeat the dose.

Unbeaten Run Continues for Chimaev

We have loved betting on Usman throughout his career, but we’re worried about his future in the company.

Those who bet on UFC will remember his painful loss to Leon Edwards, which shocked the world, and now he needs to navigate the unbeaten Chimaev.

The 29-year-old, also the much younger fighter, submitted Kevin Holland in just over two minutes at UFC 279, which followed a decision win over Gilbert Burns.

He hasn’t faced the same level of opposition as Usman, but Usman comes off consecutive losses to Edwards, which isn’t the best form guide.

He’s a 36-year-old who has done plenty for the sport, but it’s Chimaev’s time to shine on the big stage.

Much like Volkanovski vs Makhachev odds, bettors must take short odds for the favorite. Chimaev is a -270 favorite, but he’s worth having on your ticket.

Ankalaev Making His Mark

The Eastern European UFC fighters are having a great spell in the UFC, and Ankalaev is one of their best and brightest.

The 18-1-1 fighter is giving away plenty of size to Walker, but the Russian knocked out Anthony Smith at UFC 277 to prepare for this fight.

His grappling skills might not be the most exciting thing to watch, especially compared to Walker’s style, but they’re effective.

Walker could struggle to get his punches off, and although he defeated Smith in May, he could not finish him.

He’s a fighter who will attempt to throw a lot of punches, but it’s tough to punch from your back.

Ankalaev is a -360 favorite, and with good reason. He should get the main card off to a winning start for favorite bettors.

UFC 294 is a good card to take a parlay with the favorites. They are all short favorites, but rightfully so. We recommend parlaying them together for a juicy payout.
