Top NFL Teaser Plays Week 12: Cheer Against Scoring
Teasing Three Already-Low Scoring Games

Add a 6.5-Point Teaser For These Totals To Go ‘Under’
The post-Thanksgiving slate of the NFL features a mixture of divisional matchups and some ugly games. And we mean ugly, like three of the lowest-scoring games this season could all take place this Sunday. So why not bet on it? We’re looking at games featuring a combo of struggling offenses and staunch defenses. And adding 6.5 points to these games, these could be the top NFL teaser plays Week 12.
New England Patriots vs New York Giants
(33.5)
O/U Records: Patriots (3-7), Giants (3-8)
Day/Time:
Location: MetLife Stadium, East Rutherford, NJ
Streaming: FOX
We have two of the sorriest teams who combined to score 25.9 points per game. In comparison, the average NFL offense puts up 21.6. That’s why both these teams’ games go under their totals over 70% of the time. We don’t see any shocking new results here. The Giants are down to Tommy DeVito at quarterback while averaging under a touchdown per home game (we had to double-check).
While the Giants can run the football (132.3 per home game), the Patriots happen to have a strong rushing defense (81 rushing yards on the road). And on offense, neither team averages more than 180 passing yards in their given locations. This game is going under the total. And for good measure, tease their NFL lines to 40 points in the event we see some inexplicable touchdowns. Tease Patriots-Giants Under 33.5 to Under 40.
Pittsburgh Steelers vs Cincinnati Bengals
(35.5)
O/U Records: Steelers (2-8), Bengals (5-5)
Day/Time:
Location: Paycor Stadium, Cincinnati, OH
Streaming: CBS
The Steelers’ offense stinks. Firing Matt Canada will not automatically solve Pittsburgh’s woes so this team makes half of the top NFL teaser plays Week 12. Don’t expect this team to go over its scoring average of 17.7 points on the road. And not against Cincinnati, a team that is adept at forcing turnovers – nearly two – in each home game.
Jake Browning looked solid for the Bengals as he relieved Joe Burrow. He’s been off and on with Cincinnati since 2021 so he’s familiar with their plays. But Pittsburgh has also not given up more than 20 points in six straight games. That’s why the NFL odds frequently have its games with totals under 40. And we’ll tease this to 42 points as at least one or none of these teams will even come close to 20. Tease Steelers-Bengals Under 35.5 to Under 42.
Kansas City Chiefs vs Las Vegas Raiders
(42.5)
O/U Records: Chiefs (2-8), Raiders (2-9)
Day/Time:
Location: Allegiant Stadium, Las Vegas, NV
Streaming: CBS
The third and final game of our top NFL teaser plays Week 12 involves the Chiefs?! This is not the same offensive powerhouse as before. Kansas City is averaging just 19 points on the road. The team has been shut out in three straight second halves as star tight end Travis Kelce has been held to 116 receiving yards and 16 receptions in this span.
The team’s lack of depth is also showing with receivers dropping passes, resulting in Patrick Mahomes averaging a career-worst passer rating (93.8). On the flip side, they have an elite defense, which allows just 18.2 points and under 300 yards in a tough NFL game schedule on the road.
Now, the Raiders are the same. They have a decent defense, which has not allowed more than 23 points at home. But the offense has also hit the 20-point mark just once all season if we exclude the Giants game. If we tease this game to 49 points, it will go under the total. Tease Chiefs-Raiders Under 42.5 to Under 49.
