Will The Rams Put Up Another 30-Point Performance This Week?

The Commanders vs Rams Betting Trends Have Los Angeles Looking Like The Right Side

While it’s another lost season for the Washington Commanders, the Los Angeles Rams still have a chance at making the NFL playoffs.

They’re 6-7 on the season regarding the Los Angeles Rams standings and could get to .500 with a win over Washington on Sunday.

Uncover Exclusive Picks & Predictions From Our Experts.

The Rams watched a three-game winning streak get snapped against the Ravens last weekend. But the Rams put up a fight against the AFC’s best team. Los Angeles lost 37-31 on the road in overtime. That still counts for something.

Meanwhile, Washington has lost four straight games and allowed at least 29 points in all four. Recently, the Commanders have allowed 45 points each over the last two games, including their previous game, which was a 45-15 loss to the Dolphins.

Therefore, oddsmakers expect the Rams to win. Los Angeles is a 6.5-point favorite with a total of 50.5. You can find the Rams at -310 on the moneyline.

It’s been an awful second half for Washington. But with last week off, can the Commanders shock the Rams on the road?

Commanders vs Rams Betting Trends

The Washington Commanders are just 5-7-1 against the spread this season. However, Washington has lost three straight games against the spread since November 19. It’s been over a month since Washington covered a spread.

Meanwhile, the Over has hit in eight of 13 games for Washington. It’s also hit in four straight games as the defense continues to struggle.

On the other hand, the Rams have covered three straight games against the spread. That’s pushed them to 7-5-1 against the spread this season.

Still, the Rams have watched the Under hit in seven of 13 games this season. They’re 3-3 at home, while the Commanders are 3-4 on the road.

Washington has secretly been better on the road this year.

Washington Has Plenty To Play For

With only four wins on the season, the Commanders have nearly been eliminated from playoff contention.

However, Washington quarterback Sam Howell acknowledged that the Commanders still have plenty to play for, including each NFL player’s personal goals.

While the fanbase cheers on Washington to lose for a higher draft pick, the Commanders players will be playing their tails off, hoping to prove to the team or other NFL teams that they’re still worth a roster spot.

Howell, specifically, will use these next four games to make better decisions. He’s looking to be more consistent and wants to eliminate the mistakes.

Howell has 18 touchdowns but 14 interceptions in 14 games this NFL season.

Meanwhile, the expectation is that the Commanders will move on from head coach Ron Rivera and other staff members after the season ends.

Legendary Kick Mason Crosby Released After One Game

If you’ve followed the NFL over the last decade, you’ve heard the name Mason Crosby.

Crosby spent nearly his entire career with the Green Bay Packers from 2007 to 2022. The legendary kicker nailed 81.4% of his kicks after attempting about 500 field goals throughout his career.

He accounted for 1918 points in 225 games.

However, the Packers moved on from Crosby this season because he was aging. However, Crosby wasn’t looking to retire and was eventually signed by the Los Angeles Rams last week.

Crosby never got an opportunity with the Rams.

Los Angeles had Lucas Havrisik compete with Crosby for the job because the Rams weren’t satisfied with Havrisik in Week 13.

However, he went 3-for-3 last week and nailed two extra points in an overtime game. He was money and did enough to hold onto his job. Therefore, Crosby lost his. But don’t feel bad. He had an insane career filled with big moments.

Don’t Count Out The Rams!

The Los Angeles Rams just scored 31 points against the AFC’s best team in a hostile environment on the road. That was the third straight game where the Rams scored at least 31 points in regulation. They added 36 against the Cleveland Browns, who, despite some football injuries, still have the No. 1 total defense.

The Commanders haven’t been playing at Cleveland’s or Baltimore’s level. Instead, they’ve allowed over 30 points per game while giving up 266 yards in the air and another 113.85 yards on the ground.

Since Kyren Williams was inserted back into the lineup after a four-week stint on the injured list, the Rams have been a potent offense. While the Rams have only earned 23 points per game, Los Angeles has been so much more consistent as a group over the last month.

That’s allowed them to get back into the playoff race.

Still, the secondary will need to improve along with the missed tackles. But it’s hard to imagine the Commanders keeping up with the Rams on offense.

After all, Terry McLaurin of the Commanders didn’t earn a single catch in last week’s loss to the Dolphins. It’s rare to see a No. 1 receiver have such a poor showing.

Washington may adjust to find McLaurin in this game after the bye week. However, the inconsistency with the offense has been challenging to watch. McLaurin isn’t the only receiver struggling to find consistency. Jahan Dotson is another player who has had big games and some extremely underwhelming games.

The NFL scores haven’t been kind to the Commanders recently. That said, while looking at the NFL point spreads and Commanders vs Rams betting trends, we’ll roll with the Rams at -6.5 (-110).
