With only five weeks left in the 2023 NFL season, a pair of NFC West teams are struggling to stay in contention: Los Angeles and Seattle. And they face difficult circumstances as they visit two of the top three Super Bowl contenders in Baltimore and San Francisco, respectively. Thus, they are two of the biggest NFL Week 14 underdogs this weekend. The biggest will be in Miami facing the Dolphins: Tennessee without its best player.
Rams Face Ravens in a Storm
- Opponent: at Baltimore Ravens
- Point Spread: Los Angeles Rams +7 (-105)
- Moneyline: +285
The Rams have been on a roll having won three straight. But that is expected to come to a crashing halt in Baltimore. Los Angeles is now an underdog by a touchdown as it faces the Ravens’ top-ranked scoring defense (16 points allowed per game) during a potential storm. That will compromise Los Angeles’s passing game, which feeds into Baltimore’s strengths.
Coincidentally, the forecast also expects the rain to get worse later in the game. Baltimore can build up an early lead and then hold the Rams down as the rain becomes a storm. The Ravens have blown out several NFC opponents like Detroit (38-6) and Seattle (37-3). Something similar might happen here.
But we digress since the weather will also impact Baltimore’s ability to score. Expect turnovers, missed field goals, and reduced passing efficiency. Baltimore should still be a solid NFL pick against the spread. It may just not be as dominant as the NFL results we listed above.

Seattle Struggling Against San Francisco

- Point Spread: Seattle Seahawks +10.5 (-110)

In this NFC West showdown, the 49ers are sizable favorites against a “rival” they’ve consistently whooped on. San Francisco has won and covered four straight games against Seattle. It has won by an average of 16 points with its slimmest margin of victory being an eight-point win in Seattle last year.
But the line here is a bit too bloated. The 49ers could be in a “trap game” of sorts as they let their guard down against an opponent they already beat and coming off a dominant win against the Eagles. Seattle also had a “mini-bye” from its Thanksgiving Day game on Thursday last week.
This means Pete Carroll gets a few extra days to prepare for San Francisco with the playoffs on the line. Seattle wants it more and will do enough to be a good NFL Week 14 underdogs to pick. Bet the Seahawks to cover the spread likely via a backdoor.

A Titanic Underdog in Miami
- Opponent: at Miami Dolphins
- Point Spread: Tennessee Titans +13 (-110)
- Moneyline: +640
This Monday Night Football game is the most lopsided based on the odds. But it’s these types of games that can produce shocking results. We won’t hold our breath with this one. The Titans, a team that is 4-8 and 1-5 on the road, visit the NFL’s most explosive offense. Miami has a penchant for destroying bad teams as it did with the Commanders and Jets.
Thus, even with a 13-point spread, Miami may just blow out Tennessee by 20+ points. Tennessee is without Derrick Henry, its main offensive option. And it also has cluster injuries on the defense. Will Levis is a rookie quarterback who could get put through the wringer against a defense that has forced six turnovers in its last three games.
As such, regardless of its line, we can’t pick Tennessee as an NFL Week 14 underdogs. Both the NFL stats and betting records prove it. This should be another blowout for the Dolphins as they move one win closer to clinching the division.
