NFL Thanksgiving Games: Everything You Need to Know
Packers vs Lions, Commanders vs Cowboys, and 49ers vs Seahawks

Happy Thanksgiving!
This week’s Thanksgiving menu is full of tasty NFL football and player props. The Thanksgiving schedule has three NFL games , not to mention college football and basketball action.
For once, we are actually looking forward to watching the Lions play football. After decades of watching underwhelming Detroit teams kick off the holiday, we finally get a good Lions squad hosting the Packers. I’ve labeled this as the green bean casserole of the holiday. Most people will enjoy watching it, but it’s also okay to pass on partaking.
The Cowboys host a Commanders team in what may be the weakest matchup on the holiday slate. This is the mashed potatoes matchup in that the tastiness will depend on who is making the dish. Will Dallas continue their history of struggling in Thanksgiving games?
Finally, the Seahawks host the 49ers in a rivalry matchup to finish the day. Just like stuffing, this game stands on its own as a meal.

Here are my Turkey Day predictions for each NFL matchup.
The Fightin’ Dan Campbells Roll the Packers
The Lions are sizable eight-point favorites against the Packers. Detroit may have struggled against Chicago in Week 11, but the Lions should roll in this marquee home game. Those Jahmyr Gibbs props are looking extra tasty.
NFL Thanksgiving Pick: Lions -8
Commanders Spoil Dolly’s Show With a Cover
The weekly NFL news has shown Dallas taking advantage of the weak part of their schedule. Yet, the Cowboys have a history of underperforming on Thanksgiving.
The odds are giving the Cowboys too much respect in this matchup. Look for Dallas to pull out a win as the Commanders cover. Not sure how entertaining this one will be, but we do get Dolly Parton at halftime.

A nice player prop bet is the over on Tony Pollard’s receptions.
NFL Thanksgiving Pick: Commanders +12.5
49ers Should be on Upset Alert Against Seahawks
Based on the NFL standings , the Niners-Seahawks should be the best matchup of Thanksgiving. Add in the fact that these two football teams are rivals fighting for the NFC West.
So many people are fading the Seahawks, but Seattle has thrived in primetime under Pete Carroll. The 49ers have shined since their bye week, but San Francisco showed some vulnerability earlier this season.

The Seahawks spent the offseason attempting to build a roster that could compete with the 49ers. With these two teams squaring off twice in three weeks, we are going to find out if general manager John Schneider succeeded.
With Ken Walker likely sidelined, riding the over on Zach Charbonnet props goes nicely with leftovers. Look for the Seahawks to hang around with a chance to pull off an upset just in time for that second slice of pie.
NFL Thanksgiving Pick: Seahawks +7
